Embark on a guided magical tour through the Lunar Phases & Mansions
Moon rituals tied to my ancestral veneration practice are what brought me back to tracking the lunar cycles and formal study of the art & science of astrology. Over ten years later, I am called to share the knowledge and wisdom I’ve accrued through my own personal praxis and from my studies with J.M. Hamade and Chris Warnock in particular.
Drawing Down the Moon is an intensive for beginners to advanced practitioners interested in cultivating and deepening their theurgical or devotional relationship with the Moon. It is structured for working with the magic of the lunar phases and stations. Through the span of two lunar cycles via creative prompts and exercises, each week we will explore in group sessions the foundational knowledge, starlore and sympathies along with the key concepts of astrological magic and katarchic astrology, ritual hygiene and protocols, and ethical guidelines.
This 9 week intensive is primarily structured to familiarize ourselves with the nature and qualities of the lunar phases and stations. We will be covering the traditional cross-cultural significations of the main three systems of the Perso-Arabic, Indic and Chinese calendrical timekeeping by focusing on the magical prescriptions of the asterisms. Through deep listening and direct seeing, we will be cultivating an observational practice of the Sublunary and Supralunary spheres and how these connect us with the divine realms of the fixed stars. Emphasis will be placed on lunar workings for justice and protection, though we will address love and prosperity magic found within the stations as well. By the end of the intensive you will come away with a deeper awareness and connection to the Moon’s cycles, how to discern right action through magical elections, and an understanding of ethical considerations.
