Each talisman contains herbs native to Dahomey that are ascribed to the spirits of good fortune, wrapped in white leather adorned by a natural cowrie shell and worn by a string of white beads. Please note that the talismans are ritually consecrated with offerings to Mami Wêkê Sika (one of the Mami Watas of wealth, fecundity and protection) and will therefore have unique stain-markings on the leather from these offerings.
